Receive my warm greetings to you, the people of God! My name is Raymond Ssebina M., a priest born and raised in Africa – Uganda.
I joined the seminary when I was nine years old in elementary boarding seminary. In Uganda we have seminaries running from elementary through major seminary (university level). I then continued with the junior seminary (high school), then to a minor seminary (college) and then to a major seminary. I received degrees in philosophy and theology from St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Mary’s major seminaries, respectively, awarded by Pontifical Urban University in Rome. I also pursued a master’s degree in theological and religious education from Makerere University and a diploma in counseling psychology from Kyambogo University. I thank God for the call to priesthood and I am ready to serve you dear people of God.
I love sports, and some of the games I love playing are soccer, volleyball, pickleball, basketball, table tennis, and badminton. I also love music, both listening to it and playing some instruments like musical organ.
I love being around people of all age groups, young and old, and look forward to serving you at St. Pius! Thanks to Bishop Douglas Deshotel who welcomed me in his diocese and assured me of his support and prayers. I also thank Fr. Jared Suire for his brotherly love and care since I arrived. Finally, I thank Fr. Brady for the spiritual guidance he gives to the people of God and for the care and guidance he gives me. Pray for me and I too promise you are in my prayers.
