Find out how to donate food or gifts and/or volunteer to support the St. Pius X Mission Club's giving and service efforts this 2024 Christmas Season. If you have questions or are interested in volunteering, please contact Jamie Wagnon at 337-288-1562. Full details can be found inside!

The St Pius X Mission Club is asking for food donations to stock our food pantry. Due to limited space, specific items and sizes are requested. See inside for the full list of items you can bring according to your last name. Monetary donations are also accepted to help purchase the meats for the food baskets Mission Club will distribute. Please see the online giving section under the main navigation menu, and remember to earmark the donation to the Food Pantry. Volunteers are needed to deliver Thanksgiving Food Baskets on Tuesday, November 26th from 10am to Noon. Anyone interested in assisting with deliveries please contact Jamie Wagnon at 337-288-1562.

St. Pius X's Knights of Columbus Council #8901 will host its next Membership Meeting on Thursday, November 21st at 6:15PM in the Ministry Building. Catholic Men 18 years of age or older who are interested in joining can attend this meeting or formally register using the enclosed link.

St Pius X Mission Club will host its 2nd Annual "Help the Homeless" Drive in support of the homeless here in Acadiana. Parishioners are asked to donate Winter Care Packages (Unisex Jackets size Large or Extra Large; Unisex pair of warm socks; Unisex pair of warm gloves). Please place all 3 items in a single bag, and drop off at the St. Pius X front office or the gathering area in Church by October 25, 2024. The Winter Care Packages will be distributed to the homeless by a group from our St. Pius X Mission Club. This group also goes out once a week to feed the homeless. The full schedule and dish assignments for the 2024-2025 luncheons are referenced inside! Pius Senior Organization (PSO) meets for Lunch every 3rd Thursday of the month in the Parish Life Center from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. (or 11:30 a.m. when live music is provided). The parish will provide the main dish. Depending on your last name, guests are invited to bring a covered dish serving 12 or more.

The Prayer Quilt Fellowship Ministry meets every other Monday (9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.) in the Ministry Building's St. Luke Room to make and distribute blankets that will bring comfort and consolation to those who are ill, homeless or dying. The next meeting is September 30th. Parishioners in need of a quilt can request one by calling the parish office.

Weekly meetings are on Wednesdays from 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. in the St. Therese Room in the Ministry Building. Mrs. Matilde Smith is the ministry leader.

The St. Pius X Women's Guild Membership Meeting will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 6:30 PM in the Ministry Building. All women, over the age of 18, are invited to our September 12, 2024 Women's Guild meeting, which includes dinner. As an active service ministry, the Women's Guild takes care of the sacramental and social needs of the parish. Registration is open to new and established members! Unable to attend the next meeting, but interested in joining, please register and a Women's Guild member will reach out to you.
