Mary Hindelang is the Director of Religious Education at St. Pius X Catholic Church where she is responsible for running catechism for elementary students, overseeing youth ministry, and sacramental preparation, and coordinating youth related events. She is also the bulletin creator as well as website editor. On a mission to evangelize the youth of our parish, she is focused on improving religious formation and creating an environment where the students can truly encounter the person of Jesus.   For Mary, journeying with the kids is the most rewarding part of her job.Prior to taking on her role at St. Pius X, Mary gained experience through her childhood as a foreign missionary, many years in  youth ministry, running Faith Camp for 6 years, teaching elementary students for 5 years at John Paul the Great Academy and being Organizational Director for a Mother’s Ministry as well as a local skincare company.In addition to being at St. Pius X since August of 2022, Mary is also a wife and mother. She resides with her husband and five children in Lafayette.  Mary’s primary mission in life is living out her vocation as wife and mother.
