St. Pius X Mother’s Ministry seeks to foster a Catholic community through prayer, learning, service, and fellowship with women in our parish. We strive to support and encourage each other in our beautiful yet challenging vocation of motherhood, so that we can build the Church on earth and guide our families along the path to sainthood.
All women18 years or older are welcome. Whether you're single, married, mother, or grandmother. Please know that you do not need to be a mother to join our community and attend events! Our main goal is to join in fellowship and create an awesome community!
Some activities of the ministry include: Annual Retreat, Catholic Speaking Events, Bible Study, Mom’s Night Out, Book Club, Meal Train, and more. A newsletter is sent out in the Fall and the Spring with the calendar of events, and the details about each of our activities. Check the bulletin, our facebook group page and email for event announcements and newsletters!
Please join our facebook group- Mother’s Ministry - St. Pius X Church, Lafayette! There you will find Encouragement, prayer requests, announcements, and additional fellowship information. During certain times of the year, Mother’s Ministry offers a weekly Bible Study in a small group setting. Meeting times are usually Tuesdays & Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m., Fridays at 1 p.m., and Thursday evenings at 6 p.m. The times of future sessions are subject to change. Mother’s Ministry Bible Studies learn from studies available through the Walking with Purpose curriculum. Walking with Purpose offers several topics, which are usually presented on a rotating basis until a new topic is purchased.

We believe the Walking with Purpose curriculum is an incredibly effective guide to deep, lasting transformation of the heart. In order to lead hearts to Christ where He is found in Scripture, the program will incorporate at-home Scripture study, weekly small group discussion, and talks on relevant study material. Please join us as we take a deeper dive into the core questions that we need to wrestle with if we want to experience all that God has for us.

Tammy Weil- Meal Train Coordinator |
Meal Train is a way for many friends to organize a ‘train’ of meal-giving to other friends who are in need of a little extra help due to significant life events such as welcoming a new baby, experiencing a miscarriage, funerals, enduring a difficult illness, etc. Our Mother’s Ministry would like to get this ‘train’ started for women in our church family. If you or someone you know is in need of a little extra help, let us know by submitting a form online . One of our Meal Train Organizers (Tammy or Heidi) will contact the recipient to gather further information and any special instructions. If you would like to help out by providing meals, please email Heidi Norman at [email protected] and Tammy Weil at [email protected].
