Parish Council Appointments
We are happy to announce our new (or re-appointed) Parish Council members for the coming year. Because of the number of nominations, an election was not necessary this year. Mr. Rob Guiterraz has been appointed to a second term, and Mr. Reggie Ringuet has been appointed to the council. Both terms will end in May of 2027.
The Parish Council generally meets monthly and is comprised of a cross section of our community, from parents of young children to those who are retired. Members give input, advice and recommendations regarding matters relating to our parish community from their particular perspective. We thank Rob and Reggie for their willingness to serve, as the council’s work has been most helpful to me in leading and guiding our parish in a way that fulfills the needs of all in the congregation.
2024 Parish Pastoral Council Nominations
Nominations are now being accepted for two positions on the Parish Pastoral Council for the term beginning August 2024. Rob Guttierez has opted to run for a 2nd term and Angelle Pearce will be moving on to serve on the St. Pius Elementary School advisory council. We would like to thank Angelle for her service and wish her well in her new role on the school’s council.
Council members give input, advice and recommendations regarding matters relating to our parish community. Anyone may nominate themselves or another parishioner (with their permission). Nominees must be registered members of St. Pius X and submit a short biography and a photo. The term is 3 years with the possibility of running for a second term. Terms begin in August and end in June. The Council meets once a month during the school year.
Deadline for nominations is Friday, May 31st. Elections will be held the weekend of June 28-30th. To be included on the election ballot, please submit your nomination, bio and photo to Schuyler at [email protected] or (337) 232-4672.

Elections for two members of the Parish Pastoral Council are scheduled for Friday, June 28th – Sunday, June 30th. Rob Guttierez has opted to run for a 2nd term and Angelle Pearce will be moving on to serve on the St. Pius Elementary School advisory council. The election ballot including the names and bios of those who are running will be published the weekend before the elections. Please check back here, or St. Pius X’s bulletin and Facebook page then.
Once voting opens on June 28th, you'll be able to access the ballot and cast your vote using the link below. You’ll be able to select the top 2 candidates of your choice. Please note that each parishioner may only vote once. Duplicate entries will be disqualified. Only one person can vote using a single device, so couples will need to vote on a separate computer, phone, or tablet.
